A Uintah County search and rescue team recovered a woman's body near the Horseshoe Bend bend area of the Green River.

The woman and her husband were fishing along the river Saturday evening when the husband moved to another spot about 50 to 100 yards farther downstream, said Uintah County Undersheriff John Laursen. When he came back, she was gone, and the bank near where she had been fishing had caved in, Laursen said.

Investigators found no signs of foul play. They found the woman's body about 4:15 p.m. Sunday, about a quarter mile from where the bank caved in, Laursen said.

The woman's name and age were not immediately released, but she is a local, Laursen said. Her body will be taken to the medical examiner's office.
