This is the Place Heritage Park is decidedly not the place to make a deal on used cellphones, according to a Salt Lake City police report.

SLCPD said a 32-year-old man told officers he arranged to meet a purported seller of the phones at the northeast Salt Lake City site about 6:30 p.m. Thursday. When he arrived, however, his contact showed up with several other people.

As he parked, the suspects — three white males and one white female — forced their way into his car, attacked him and robbed him of cash and other items. The victim suffered minor injuries.

The suspects drove away in an older, possibly 1990s model silver sedan.
