A passenger who was ejected from a vehicle that pulled in front of another vehicle Thursday morning in Washington County suffered critical injuries, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred about 9:40 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of State Route 18 and Main Street in Enterprise, said UHP Sgt. Todd Royce.

The crash occurred when a GMC van that was stopped at the intersection pulled forward into the path of a Dodge truck traveling at or near the posted speed limit of 55 mph, the UHP said.

The passenger ejected from the van, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was flown via helicopter to a hospital.

The driver of the truck, who suffered non-life threatening injuries, was taken to a hospital by ground ambulance.
