A Boy Scout who was lost Wednesday in northern Utah's Duchesne County was rescued by a helicopter.

A Department of Public Safety rescue helicopter retrieved the scout and was bringing him to safety Wednesday afternoon, according to Duchesne County dispatch.

The scout was lost near Yellowstone Canyon on the south slope of the Uinta Mountains.

The scout was uninjured, dispatch said.
