Salt Lake County Fair goes ‘hog wild’

(Al Hartmann | The Salt Lake Tribune) FFA members listen to the judges comments about their suffolk sheep as they show them at the Junior Livestock show at the Salt Lake County Fair Thursday August 7. The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Saturday.

Food, fun and fur can make for a fair to remember.

Salt Lake County’s 78th annual showcase features all that and more at the county’s Equestrian Park and Event Center in South Jordan.

The fair runs daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Saturday.

This year’s event, with the theme "Gone Hog Wild," boasts all the usual fair trappings — livestock, live entertainment, contests, demonstrations, demolition derbies, arts, agriculture and food vendors.
