A teenager died and three others were injured Saturday morning in a head-on crash in Logan Canyon, the Utah Highway Patrol said.

Ryker Dattage, 18, of Hyde Park, died at the scene.

Dattage was driving an Acura north on U.S. Highway 89 when it drifted into the southbound lane at 8:30 a.m. just south of the Franklin Basin turnoff near Logan, according to a UHP report. The driver of a Ford F-350 that was pulling a boat in the southbound lane tried to move to avoid a collision but was hit, the report says.

The Ford's driver, 57-year-old Bruce Wilson, of Hooper, was taken by helicopter in serious condition from the scene.

Two of Wilson's passengers, Morgan Wright, 14, and Ethan Fowers, 12 — also both of Hooper — were transported by ambulance to Logan Regional Hospital.

Investigators do not know why the Acura drifted into the southbound lane.
