Utah will slide into the weekend with weather echoing what it had all week: hot and, thanks to thunderstorms cycling through the region, humid.
The Wasatch Front looked for highs on Saturday in the low-90s, though skies were expected to gradually begin to clear after late-Friday continued rainfall.
However, heat and humidity were to be unrelenting in southern Utah, where thunderstorms and rain were expected Saturday to mirror Friday's forecast. Triple-digit temperatures were predicted both days.
The Utah Division of Air Quality rated only Box Elder, Carbon, Washington and Cache counties as "green," or healthy, for air quality going into the weekend. Salt Lake, Weber, Davis, Utah and other Utah counties were at "yellow," or compromised levels.
The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website listed only mold and chenopods at "high," while other allergens were deemed "low" on the pollen index as of Friday.
