A Midway motorcyclist was in critical condition Monday after a weekend collision on Interstate 84 near the Utah-Idaho border.

The Idaho State Police said that W. Kent Kohler, 49, was riding eastbound in the left lane near mile post 274 just before 9 p.m. Sunday, followed by Victoria Rhea, 19, of West Jordan. After passing a semi-trailer truck, Rhea's Mazda moved into the right lane, and as she drew next to Kohler, his motorcycle moved into her lane and the two vehicles crashed.

Both the car and motorcycle ended up in the median.

Kohler was flown to Ogden Regional Medical Center by helicopter. Rhea was unhurt, ISP said.
