A Kamas woman died in a head-on crash Tuesday morning in Summit County.

Angela D. Fitzgerald, 38, was driving a Chrysler Aspen west on State Road 248 about 4 miles east of Kamas. At about 10:30 a.m., an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado pickup crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with the Aspen.

Fitzgerald died at the scene. The driver of the Silverado and a young girl who was his passenger both were flown to Salt Lake City hospitals.

All people in the crash were wearing seatbelts.

The highway was closed near Brown's Canyon and had not reopened late Monday afternoon.

The Tribune will report further details as they become available.
