Two single-vehicle crashes on northbound Interstate 15 near Lehi slowed Monday morning commuters, the Utah Highway Patrol reports.

The first accident came at 8 a.m. near milepost 283 and involved no injuries, though it did cause delays of up to 15 minutes for more than an hour.

The driver in the second crash, at 8:30 a.m. near milepost 282, sustained "moderate," non-life threatening injuries when colliding with the barrier wall next to an HOV lane.

UHP Sgt. Todd Royce said the possibility of that driver being distracted just prior to the crash was under investigation.

Traffic from the second crash also was delayed at the scene for more than an hour.
