Investigators are trying to determine what caused the death of a Layton couple whose bodies were found Monday in their home.
Police went to check on Shauna and Larry Anderson, ages 51 and 47, at their home in the Quail Ridge Mobile Home Park about 9 a.m. after Larry Anderson’s employer called police to report Anderson had not arrived at work and could not be found, said Layton police Lt. Travis Lyman.
Officers went into the home and found the couple’s bodies inside.
There was no obvious sign of foul play and no obvious cause of death, Lyman said. Fire crews tested for carbon monoxide, but levels were not elevated, Lyman said.
Lyman would not further describe conditions inside the mobile home or where inside the home the bodies were found.
"There is nothing obvious at the scene that indicates what has happened," Lyman said. "There are no glaringly obvious things that point us in one direction or another."
Investigators are awaiting an autopsy and toxicology results.
