The Utah Highway Patrol has identified the Farmington woman and her two children who died Friday in a Tooele County crash.

Delphine John, 44, and daughters Anaya Orozco, 3, and Deliah Ramirez, 18, died in the crash on westbound Interstate 80. They were passengers in a Chevy Suburban that crashed head-on with a wrong-way pickup truck about 30 miles east of Wendover, said Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cory Nye. The crash occurred at 6:39 p.m.

John, Ramirez and Orozco died at the scene. The man who was driving the Suburban, John’s husband — Jose Adame-Orozco — was taken to the hospital in critical condition, while the driver of the pickup, identified as Paul Mumford, 36, of West Jordan, was in serious condition, according to the UHP.

Dispatchers had received calls that the pickup was moving erratically prior to the crash, Nye said. He added that investigators suspect the pickup driver was under the influence, and that it appears that Ramirez and Orozco were either not wearing seat belts or were wearing them improperly.
