At least one person died in a multi-vehicle collision that ended with the fiery rollover of a semi-trailer rig on U.S. 40 late Monday morning near Roosevelt.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said details from the 11:07 a.m. crash, which involved least one other vehicle in addition to the semi, were slowly being developed.

The semi caught fire during the crash about a mile outside of Roosevelt and the flames gutted the vehicle.

The crash completely closed down northbound and southbound lanes for more than an hour. As of 12:20 p.m., traffic was being funneled through a single lane.
