A Murray fire captain died after he experienced problems while snorkeling Sunday while celebrating his wedding anniversary in Hawaii.

Capt. Andy Walkingshaw was snorkling at Shark's Cove near Oahu's north shore when he experienced trouble and nearly drowned, The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported. Walkingshaw had no pulse when he was pulled from the water, but lifeguards and firefighters resuscitated him and he regained a pulse and started breathing. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
