A woman escaped with non-life threatening injuries after apparently losing consciousness and crashing into a Provo apartment complex unit Monday morning.

Provo police Lt. Mathew Siufanua said the woman apparently experienced a seizure bout 6:20 a.m. when her SUV careened off 900 East near Center Street, across a grassy area and into two apartment units.

The 50-year-old woman also clipped a telephone pole, briefly knocking out service to the area.

Estimates of the damage caused to the apartments were yet to be assessed.

The woman's family reportedly said that she was being assessed at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center for what were believed to be minor injuries.
