A Salt Lake City woman was being held without bail Monday in Salt Lake County Jail after allegedly trying to end a neighborhood argument with her samurai sword.
Natasha Lynn Davis, 24, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree felony attempted murder. She was accused of leaving a male neighbor slashed and bleeding Sunday afternoon.
A probable cause statement notes the incident occurred at an apartment complex near 1100 S. 400 East. Davis allegedly became enraged during the verbal dispute with a downstairs neighbor.
She allegedly went back up to her apartment, retrieved the sword and came back swinging. She chased the man around outside the complex before catching him, according to the probable cause statement.
The victim blocked one of the swings with his forearm, suffering a deep laceration before the suspect's boyfriend grabbed and subdued the 5-foot, 200-pound woman as police arrived.
The victim was treated for his wound at the hospital and Davis was taken into custody without further incident.
