While some events took place Thursday and Friday, Utah Pride 2014 got underway in earnest Saturday with a 5K run, dyke and transgender rallies and marches, and kickoff of the popular festival at Washington Square.

Festivities continue Sunday with the Pride Parade stepping off 10 a.m. at 400 East and 300 South, heading north to 200 South and west on 200 South to West Temple.

The grand marshals in Sunday's parade will be the three couples from Utah's marriage equality case: Laurie Wood and Kody Partridge, Moudi Sbeity and Derek Kitchen, and Kate Call and Karen Archer.

Tickets to Sunday's festival at Washington Square, 400 S. will be $10 at the gate.
