A semi-trailer driver was in serious condition after rolling his rig and its load of plywood on Interstate 84 near Snowville on Wednesday morning.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said the 7:45 a.m. crash initially closed down the highway until the wood was cleared away. One eastbound lane remained closed through the morning as wreckage was cleared.

The driver was taken to Bear River Regional Hospital in Tremonton, where he was expected to recover from his injuries, Royce said.

The cause of the accident was under investigation.
