No one was injured in a Sunday afternoon brush fire that burned along the Virgin River in St. George.

It took fire crews two and a half hours to fight the blaze, according to the St. George Spectrum. No structures were threatened by the 50-foot flames, the newspaper reported.

Utah Sen. Steve Urquhart, R-St. George, posted a video of the fire to Instagram. The video, posted about 4:22 p.m., shows plumes of black smoke rising from flames that tower over trees.

In his description of the video, Urquhart says the fire was burning in a river bottom.

Officials have not released an official cause of the blaze.
