A Look Back: D-Day
First Published May 30 2014 11:43 am • Last Updated May 30 2014 01:47 pm

Each Friday, The Salt Lake Tribune presents historic images in a special series called A Look Back. This week’s installment features historic images from D-Day, and the days following the invasion. The 70th anniversary of D-Day is just days away, on June 6th. Many of the images in this gallery are from Utah beach, where American and Allied troops gained a foothold in occupied France, and set the stage for the end of WWII.
