(Al Hartmann | The Salt Lake Tribune) People dance to a radio dj's music and others wait in line to get free Subway sandwiches, fruit, and drinks at Pioneer Park Wednesday May 28. Subway partnered with the Resuce Mission of Salt Lake for the annual "Day of Giving" with free Subway sandwiches, clothes and giveaways for low income and homeless people. Subway also presented a $10,000 check to the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake.

Subway restaurants teamed up with the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake on Wednesday to feed hundreds of homeless and low-income Utahns.

Lunchtime volunteers gave away sandwiches, fruit, beverages, clothes and other items at downtown Salt Lake City’s Pioneer Park.
