A woman initially listed as critical after an early Thursday morning rollover accident on Interstate 80 in western Tooele County had stabilized and was expected to survive by afternoon.
Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said the 27-year-old woman was driving westbound on I-80 near milepost 64 about 3 a.m. when her vehicle went off the north side of the freeway and rolled.
A medical helicopter was dispatched to take her to the hospital, after rescuers extricated her from the wreckage. She was conscious and breathing when transported and later believed to have been upgraded with serious condition, UHP said.
Specifics of the woman's injuries and her name were not immediately available.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident, and no lane closures resulted.
