The 18th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure drew thousands of Utahns on Saturday raising funds to cure breast cancer and help its victims.

Organizers say 75 percent of the money raised stays in Utah to support breast cancer programs. The remainder goes to global breast cancer research and educational programs, including to local organizations such as the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Last year's event raised more than $640,000.
