Police were on the lookout Wednesday for a masked man who held up a Subway sandwich shop in southeast Salt Lake City.
SLCPD Detective Veronica Montoya said the suspect described as a 5-foot-5 male in his 20s, about 120 pounds, and wearing light-colored jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and black bandana over his face entered the shop at 2885 S. Highland Drive about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said the man produced a weapon they declined to further identify it, citing the ongoing nature of their investigation and demanded cash.
The suspect fled the store after the clerk complied with his demands, jumped into a 1999 model white Subaru Legacy and sped away.
