The West Desert is going to get pounded.
And Davis and Weber counties are going to get noisier.
The U.S. Air Force this week began "Combat Hammer," where bombers and fighters from across the country fly to Utah to drop and fire ordinances on the Utah Test and Training Range.
The exercise started Monday and continues through May 15.
Some of the aircraft will take off and land at Hill Air Force Base. Other aircraft, including B-2 bombers from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, will fly directly to the range.

Taking off and landing from Hill Air Force Base:
• F-16s from Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina
• F-15Es from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina
• F-22s from Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida
Flying to test range
• B-2s from Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri
• B-52s from Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana
• MQ-9s from Creech Air Force Base, Nevada.
