9 a.m. Saturday • About 4,300 Utah State University graduates will hear from Hugh Evans, the Australian CEO of Global Poverty Project, at a 9 a.m. commencement ceremony Saturday. The student speaker at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum in Logan will be Briana Dawn Bowen, a Truman Scholar with the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Evans will also receive an honorary doctorate along with Tayseer Al-Smadi, chairman of the Jordan Press and Publishing Corporation; homeless advocate Pamela J. Atkinson and R. Gilbert Moore, a specialist in rocketry and propulsion science who co-founded the school's Get Away Special Program. Nine faculty members will receive awards.

Graduate students' commencement was held Friday.

Individual undergraduate college convocations will held after the main ceremony Saturday.
