Lockdown lifted on Salt Lake City’s East High

East High School was under lockdown Thursday morning for a short time after multiple threats were reported at the school.

Salt Lake City police Detective Cody Lougy said police responded to the high school after two 911 calls were received: one reporting a bomb threat, another a report of shots fired at the school.

It appears that both calls were made by the same person, Lougy said, and were made through a captioned telephone.

By 10:20 a.m., police lifted the lockdown as they found no signs of either threat at the high school.

"It appears this is just a prank," Lougy said.

The Salt Lake City School District thanked the police for a quick response in a tweet.

Police say no injuries have been reported.
