Police have found a teenager who disappeared during a visit to This is the Place State Park on Wednesday.

Steven Smith, 14, who is autistic, was found safe in a backyard in the high Avenues after going missing Wednesday night, police reported. Residents in the area of 650 N. 1100 East checked their yard and found him.

Police had asked residents near the park, 2601 E. Sunnyside (800 South), to check their residences for the boy.
