A 1-year-old boy died Saturday afternoon after he was run over by a sports-utility vehicle in Kearns, police said.
Unified Police Department Lt. Justin Hoyal said a 46-year-old man was backing out of a driveway shortly before 1 p.m. in a Chevy Tahoe and did not see the boy playing. The child was taken to Intermountain Medical Center, where he died. Police did not disclose the boy's name Saturday.
