Investigators want the public's help to find whoever shot two buck pronghorns and left them to rot.
A group of people were out on a Sunday drive in mid-March when they came upon the two bucks' carcasses in the Mounds area, southeast of Price, said Utah Division of Wildlife Conservation Officer JD Abbott. When the officers found the bucks, they discovered their entire bodies were left to waste, according to a DWR news release.
Officers figure that the bucks were shot around the first part of March, based on the deterioration of their bodies, Abbott said.
Anyone with information about the poaching is asked to call 1-800-662-3337 or to contact Abbott directly at 435-650-0654.
A reward is available and DWR will respect requests to remain confidential, according to the release, though it does not specify the amount of the reward.
