Two multi-vehicle crashes on Interstate 215 slowed the late-Wednesday morning commute.

The first of the two-car collisions came at 9:19 a.m. on westbound I-215 in Murray; it was followed moments later by another two-car crash.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said only minor injuries were reported, but the resulting wreckage restricted two lanes of travel through the scene for more than an hour.

The causes of the collisions were under investigation.

Traffic through the area had been restored to normal levels by 10:30 a.m.
