Utah Transit Authority on Wednesday announced plans to add two bus routes for Hill Air Force Base military and civilian commuters seeking to connect to the FrontRunner rail service.

UTA General Manager Michael Allegra said the bus service, which will take riders to the FrontRunner’s Clearfield Station, will launch on April 14.

Bus routes 664 and 665 will travel between Clearfield Station and Hill Air Force Base’s west and south gates during peak during the periods of 5 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Allegra said the new routes are aimed at an estimated 20,000-plus potential riders working and/or living at HAFB.

The bus routes will make stops throughout Clearfield. Riders will need approved access to HAFB in order to enter base grounds.
