Sandy police are hoping for the public's help in identifying a Thursday morning bank robbery suspect.

Sandy police Sgt. Jon Arnold said the suspect — a white male in his late-40s or early-50s with a goatee, wearing blue jeans, a brown barn coat, sunglasses and a black cap with white trim — approached a Zions Bank teller and demanded cash at 9:13 a.m. Thursday.

The man did not show any weapons, but he did threaten the teller, Arnold said.

After receiving money, the suspect quietly walked out of the bank at 125 W. 10600 South. No one was able to say whether he then drove away or walked from the scene, Arnold said.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Sandy police at 801-568-7214.
