Unified Police Department arrested a man they suspect of robbing a Wells Fargo Bank in Midvale.

The police department announced the arrest on Twitter Sunday evening, two days after the department had released a photograph of the alleged bank robber and asked for the public’s help identifying the man. The man had been arrested in South Salt Lake, according to the tweet.

At about 9:17 a.m. Friday, the suspect entered the bank at 955 E. Fort Union Blvd. and presented a note that demanded money, according to a release from the Unified Police Department.

The teller complied with the suspect’s demands, and no one was injured. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, UPD said.

It was unknown if the suspect got into a vehicle. He did not display any weapons during the robbery, UPD said.
