Pssst, buddy: Want a deal on some goods?

You might want to try the Unified Police Department's upcoming auction of surplus, unclaimed and seized property.

It all takes place on March 22, beginning 9 a.m. at the TNT Auction yard, 2353 N. Redwood Road, Salt Lake City.

Bidders will compete for items ranging from cars and trucks to audio/visual equipment, personal property, jewelry, tools, auto parts and various household items.

All cash proceeds from the auction will support a variety of law enforcement uses.

While UPD says "reasonable attempts" have already been made to contact owners of unclaimed property, including confiscated cash, anyone still wanting to file a personal claim prior to the auction can call the UPD Evidence Warehouse at 385-468-9530.
