A man with dementia disappeared Friday, sending police scrambling to find him as the weather took a turn for the worst.

Michael James Howard, 52, was last seen about 6 p.m. at the Deseret Care Center, at 950 E. 3300 South in Millcreek, according to the Unified Police Department. Howard suffers from dementia and police were concerned because the weather was cold and wet Friday night.

Howard has disappeared before and was located near TRAX stations, police say. He does not have a cell phone.

Howard is a white man standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has salt and pepper hair and was wearing a blue winter coat and blue jeans.
