Acting on a tip, Salt Lake City police found a fugitive wanted on numerous felony warrants hiding in a kitchen cabinet and took him into custody.
Police were told that the 35-year-old man was staying at a residence near 1700 West and 1000 North. About 2:15 p.m. Sunday, they searched the home and found him curled up in a small space under the sink.
He was arrested without further incident and booked into the Salt Lake County jail, where he remained Monday in lieu of $90,000 bail on suspicion of second-degree felony robbery; third-degree felony counts of obstructive justice, retail theft, burglary and witness tampering; and numerous misdemeanor counts of shoplifting, assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.
