Mourners stood vigil Tuesday night for three people who died and six who were injured in a crash this weekend involving members from a church youth group at Dugway Proving Ground.

Donnett McCollin, 43, was a passenger in the van carrying the youth group; she was killed in the crash along with Tooele residents 61-year-old Urban "James" Montoya and 58-year-old Melodie Clement, who were in another vehicle.

Six other people, including five teens, were hospitalized after being thrown from the van. All are expected to survive, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce reported Tuesday.

The youth group from the Dugway chapel was en route to Salt Lake City on Sunday afternoon to attend a Christian rock concert. They were traveling north on State Road 36 when their van clipped another vehicle and spun into Montoya and Clement’s southbound vehicle.

Tuesday’s vigil was closed to media.
