A flight on its way to Salt Lake City was diverted after a drunk woman allegedly made sexual advances toward her fellow passengers.
The Delta flight was on its way from Baltimore/Washington International on Friday night when the woman allegedly had a few drinks and made the advances, according to a passenger who uploaded videos to YouTube. One of them is an expletive-filled video of her in custody, the other a quieter, shorter clip of police escorting her from the plane.
The flight crew handcuffed her on board the plane, which diverted to Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport about 8 p.m., where she was handed over to airport police and taken to a county medical center, said Patrick Hogan, spokesman for the airport.
Hogan confirmed that the woman was "very intoxicated" and was "grabbing at passengers," but could not elaborate.
The woman could be looking at federal charges, since the alleged disturbance occurred while the plane was in flight, said Hogan, who added that local law enforcement is not pursuing charges.
The flight continued without incident to Salt Lake City, said Delta spokesman Eric Torbensen, in a statement.
