In Salt Lake County, police say man stabbed sister’s boyfriend

A Salt Lake County man is charged with attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed his sister’s boyfriend in the chest.

The man and the victim got in a fight Jan. 15 in an Olympus Cove apartment, police wrote in charges filed Monday.

The victim left the apartment when his girlfriend’s brother followed him to the parking lot and stabbed him in the chest, police wrote.

The victim suffered a collapsed lung and required emergency medical care.

The suspect, 24, was charged with first-degree felony attempted murder and second-degree felony aggravated assault.
