Each Friday, The Salt Lake Tribune presents historic images in a special series called A Look Back. This week's installment features photos of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The CCC, part of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal, was a public works relief program which operated from 1933 to 1942. It was designed to provide jobs for unskilled, unemployed young men between the ages of 18-25, abd help families who had trouble finding work during the Great Depression. The program also provided a general natural resources conservation program in every state and territory.
