A 16-year-old girl was flown by helicopter to a hospital after she reportedly fell from the bed of a pickup truck in Clearfield on Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred at about 3 p.m. near 300 W. 2300 South, according to Clearfield dispatchers, who could not immediately confirm the condition of the victim.

The girl, who was sitting on the edge of the pickup truck's bed, suffered head injuries when she fell to the pavement as the pickup rounded a corner at the intersection, according to 2News.

The driver was another 16-year-old girl, 2News reported. A third girl, also 16, also was riding in the bed of the truck at the time.

The girls reportedly had just come from Clearfield High School.

The intersection is in a residential neighborhood of the Davis County city.
