A man was rushed to the hospital early Monday morning after being stabbed at a duplex in Taylorsville.

Unified Police officers and paramedics responded to a 911 call from an address near 4500 Bridgeside Way (4550 South) in Taylorsville. at 6:21 a.m.

The 25-year-old man sustained wounds to an arm and was expected to recover at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.

UPD Lt. Justin Hoyal said the man and his girlfriend had gotten into an argument and she allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed him.

The woman was arrested and booked into Salt Lake County Jail on suspicion of domestic violence/aggravated assault.

Hoyal said it appeared that alcohol was a contributing factor in the assault.
