A man died in the first hours of New Year’s Day after crashing into a parked semitrailer in Draper.
About 2:04 a.m., the 54-year-old man crashed into the vacant trailer near 11500 S. 700 East, according to a Draper police news release. He was alone in the car and died at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation, but police believe the man may have been under the influence. Police are waiting to identify him until they have notified his family.
