Rowland Hall students along with their teachers, families and alumni on Monday worked with the Crossroads Urban Center's Emergency Food Pantry to distribute holiday food bags to Utah families in need.
The group earlier had assembled about 1,400 bags containing cranberry sauce, yams, potatoes, dressing mix, green beans, and fresh fruit. Crossroads and the Utah Food Bank collected the food.
Rowland Hall, a Salt Lake City private school, has participated in the holiday food event for 19 years, according to a news release.
The youngest volunteers are 3, according to the school, while the oldest are in their 80s.
