Theodore Beehakis, 67 » Jan. 2. Police believe Andre Pappas, 70, shot and killed his domestic partner, Beehakis, 67, before taking his own life in the living room of a Salt Lake City home.
David Urrutia, 39 » Jan. 4. Prosecutors have charged Urrutia’s cousin with killing him with a blunt object inside his camp trailer in Fort Duchesne.
Kelly Simons, 38 » Jan. 9. Simons was suspected in a series of armed robberies in the Salt Lake Valley, and police say Simons exchanged gunfire with a Murray officer following one of them. Days later, police say she tried to run down a Joint Criminal Apprehension Team officer with a pickup truck, prompting an officer to shoot her.
Unidentified boy, 8 » Jan 12. A Davis County boy died from complications of a prior head injury.
Iris Rodriguez, 32 » Feb. 8. Utah Highway Patrol troopers found Felipe Rodriguez, 37, and his wife, Iris, dead from apparent gunshot wounds to their heads inside an SUV in an apparent murder-suicide.
Shaniel Donaldson, 32 » Feb. 10. Donaldson’s husband called a dispatcher to say he had just shot his wife and was about to turn the gun on himself. Carbon County SWAT officers entered the Price home and found the Donaldsons dead in the master bedroom.
Omar Jarman, 35 » Feb. 12. Jarman was one of three people in a Midvale home. The shooter went from room to room, firing at the victims. The shootings were methodical, and perhaps selective, police have said.

Diann Bailey, 59 » Feb. 15. Officers arrived at a Cedar City home to find Bailey suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. She was taken to the hospital and later died. An acquaintance was charged with killing her, as well as a man who was also in the home.
Jeffrey Hardy, 52 » Feb. 15. Officers arrived at a Cedar City home to find Hardy’s body. He had been shot twice. An acquaintance of a woman he was at the home with was charged with killing them.
Jeramy Olsen, 31 » Feb. 16. Police say that Olsen died from serious head injuries he received in a fight with a man in St. George.
Brett Knight, 33 » Feb. 25. Knight, a bank robbery suspect, fled from Draper and Lehi police. As Knight drove north on Interstate 15, troopers and motorists reported seeing a gun in his truck and said he allegedly pointed it at them. Police stopped Knight in Davis County, where he got out holding a handgun, exchanged heated words with officers, raised his gun and allegedly pointed it at deputies. Four of them opened fire.
Jesus Velez, 42 » March 10. Velez’s roommate was charged with shooting the West Valley City man "at least six" times with a handgun, hitting him twice in the head and four times elsewhere on his body. According to witness statements recorded by West Valley police, Velez and his roommate had been "feuding," and the roommate had threatened Velez earlier that day.
Ronnie Ontiveros, 37 » March 19. Officers say they fired on Ontiveros after he allegedly first shot at them while trying to flee the scene of a raid at a Salt Lake City home, which was targeting a fugitive acquaintance of his.
Teresa Scott, 47 » March 23. According to investigators, Scott’s husband called 911 and told dispatchers that he shot his wife and she was dead. Scott identified himself to the dispatcher, according to court records, and was later arrested.
Gregorio Campos, 33 » March 25. Campos’ girlfriend’s son confessed to shooting the man in while he slept. Grand County Attorney Andrew Fitzgerald has said that the son was "a pawn" of sorts in the Moab murder, influenced by three or four adults who had ill will for Campos and wanted him dead.
Cody Ramseyer, 49 » March 29. Ramseyer was shot after crashing his GMC Denali near the Willard Bay exit on Interstate 15. The Utah Highway Patrol, one of four police agencies that had chased him at speeds of more than 100 mph through Davis, Weber and Box Elder counties, said Ramseyer got out of his car after the crash and exhibited "threatening" behavior toward police. A trooper and a Pleasant View officer deployed Tasers to try to subdue him. A Willard officer eventually shot him.
Ryker Petersen, 5 months » April 5. Police say Ryker’s father shot his infant son in the head with a rifle at his American Fork home, and a relative stopped him before he turned the gun on himself. Investigators suspect the father had been planning to kill Ryker and himself for about a month.
Sione Fakatoufifita, 19 » April 13. Fakatoufifita was shot multiple times outside a Salt Lake City convenience store. Police allege that a man killed Fakatoufifita because they were members of rival gangs. Fakatoufifita was planning to get married in May.Next Page >
