A semi-trailer rig hauling a load of frozen meat overturned and blocked all four lanes of southbound Interstate 15 in southcentral Utah's Beaver County Thursday morning.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said the 5 a.m., single-vehicle accident occurred about 7 miles south of the town of Beaver.

The driver of the big rig escaped serious injury, but the wreckage brought traffic to a halt for 90 minutes until troopers reopened the emergency lane and part of another lane to let vehicles through. Another lane was reopened about 11 a.m., and the remaining two were expected cleared by 12:30 p.m.

The cause of the accident remained under investigation.
