An Orem woman died when she was hit by multiple vehicles as she tried to cross Interstate 80 on foot Wednesday night in Salt Lake City.

Darcey Bulloch, 39, was riding in a vehicle traveling east about 6 p.m. when she and the driver got into a fight, said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce. The driver pulled over near the Redwood Road exit, and Bulloch got out of the car.

Bulloch attempted to cross three lanes of I-80 but was struck multiple times, Royce said. She died at the scene.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor, Royce said.
