Utah investigators came across a Canadian man who allegedly had made child pornography available online.

In October, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in Utah found someone in Ontario making child pornography available online. The department came across the person while conducting an undercover child porn investigation.

The Utah investigators forwarded the case to the Ontario Provincial Police's child sexual exploitation unit for further investigation.

On Monday, Canadian police searched a home in Stratford, Ontario — which is about a three-hour drive going northeast from Detroit — and seized two computers and an external hard drive, among other items pertinent to the investigation, according to an Ontario Provincial Police news release. The police found images of child sexual abuse on them, the release adds.

The 32-year-old man is suspected of possession of child pornography, making child pornography available and accessing child pornography, according to the release.

He was held in custody and scheduled to attend a bail hearing Wednesday at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford. The investigation is ongoing.
