Three arrested in Utah home invasion robbery
Roy police have arrested three adults and a juvenile following an alleged home invasion robbery.
Shortly before 2 p.m. Monday, a Roy City Police Department school resource officer heard there was a robbery at a home near 5800 S. 2600 West, the south end of the city. Officers went to the home and learned that several armed people had been there and taken personal items, such as wallets and cell phones, according to a news release.
The suspects did not forced their way in, and police believe there is "a familiarity" between the suspects and the victims, the release adds.
"At least one of the victims knew one of the suspects," said Roy police spokesman Bryce Weir. Multiple weapons were reportedly used in the robbery, but Weir could not confirm which suspects had them.
Police found one of the three 18-year-old suspects the same day, nabbed the other two adult suspects Tuesday, then caught up with the juvenile suspect Tuesday night. Police booked the three adults into the Weber County Jail on suspicion of aggravated robbery. The juvenile was booked into the Weber Valley Detention Center.
